Rafting is an incredible means to get around the country while at the same time enjoying the adrenaline charged adventure along Nepal’s many gushing rivers. There are infinite choices and Nepal’s white waters offer many thrilling rapids. The country’s mountainous terrain forces the rivers to gush down deep gorges while it passes through fascinating landscapes. Mountain views and riverside villages add to the trip’s excitement. A unique feature of rafting in Nepal is the temple visits along the way as many lie close to the riverbank. "Nepal has the best rivers for rafting anywhere in the world" say experts. Besides the tame rivers most frequented by rafters, there are also some recommended only to experts. Trips can be anywhere from a day to several weeks long depending on time available and clients discretion. The popular rivers are the Trishuli, Sun Kosi and Bhote Kosi. A beautiful unsoiled river with good white water gorges, wildlife and a feeling of remoteness. Recommended for people looking for an exciting medium-length raft trip and as a self sufficient Kayak trip for intermediate and expert kayakers. We suggest combining this river with a trek before hand up into the mountains. Also consider continuing down the lower Kali Gandaki to Chitwan National Park.
