Trekking Peaks in Nepal

Lobuje 6,119m/20,075 ft

A sharp peak beside the Khumbu Glacier below Everest Base Camp, fairly straightforward except for the short final section to the highest point which is said to be exceptionally difficult…and may not yet have been climbed.    ........... more Details

Island Peak 6,153m/20,187 ft

Several lines are possible on this easy peak right below the south face of Lhotse, by which it is dwarfed. Most popular of the "trekking peaks".  .........More Details

Mera Peak 6,431m/21,099 ft

This large mountain rises between the remote and uninhabited Hingu and Hinku glens to the south east of everest, it is a superb view-point and is quite often attempted. Though technically straightforward, its northern flank demands some skill to thread a complex erevasse maze, and few parties succeed. .........More Details

Chulu West 6,630m/21,725 ft

A large snow peak standing at the head of the arid Manang valley opposite the icy wall of the Annapurna and well seen from the popular Thorang La. Though straightforward higher up, the long ascent has an awkward section on mixed ground fairly low down

Kanga (Kwangde or Kongde Ri) 6,194m/20,322 ft

A serious and difficult rock/ice peak in the north of the Manang valley amd opposite the great ice wall of the Annapurna. Access is not straightforward and Chulu Far East (c.19,999 ft) is often climbed mistakenly in its stead.

Pharchamo 6,282m/20,771 ft

Stand above the Tashi Laptcha-the high ice pass leading from Khumbu over into (currently forbidden) Rolwaling. Short and usually straightforward snow/ice slopes lead from the pass to the top, although there can sometimes be formidable ice difficulties close below the summit.

Huinchuli 6,331m/20,771 ft

A satellite of Annapurna South, this quite difficult and serious mountain stands at the entrance to the Annapurna Sanctuary-opposite Machhapuchhare.

Kusum Kangru 6,33m/20,896 ft

An extremely serious, difficult and most imposing fang of rock and ice rising above the east bank of the Dudh Koshi between Lukla and Namche Bazaar. Dough Scoot and Mike Covington were repulsed when attempting its first ascent. Has since been climbed using siege tactics.

Fluted Peak 6,39m/20,965 ft

An attractive and fairly difficult ice peak rising from the southern spur of Glacier Dome in impressive surrounding at the head of the fabled Annapurma Sanctuary.
